HYDERABAD: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah paid a surprise visit to Hyderabad City, Latifabad and Qasimabad Talukas here Wednesday morning.
He expressed his annoyance over the performance of the district administration asking about non-disposal of stagnant water of the recent downpour despite providing 59 pumping machines by the provincial government for disposal of standing rainwater. He also expressed his dismay over the illegal encroachments in different roads busiest centers and asked the concerned departments to take action in this direction.
He underlined the need of an effective drainage system for Qasimabad Taluka and asked the Commissioner Hyderabad to submit a scheme with PC-I to his office so that the same could be completed.
During his brief stay at St. Bonaventure High School, Syed Murad Ali Shah said that the development of Hyderabad city and restoration of its lost glory are included in his priorities. He thanked the media for highlighting the citizen’s civic issues adding that soon they will witness a positive change in the city infrastructure. The CM also visited the Cantonment Graveyard and offered fateha at the graves of his relatives.
