KP offers conducive atmosphere for investment
PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa offered unmatched incentives to attract foreign investment in different sectors including projects to be set up under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, hydro power generation, tourism, housing and infrastructure development.
Talking to Iranian Ambassador Mehdi Honardoost at the Chief Minister’s House here, Pervez Khattak said his government wanted to attract domestic and foreign investment in different sectors.
Iranian Consul General Muhammad Baqir Beigi and other officials were also present at the occasion, said a handout. They discussed areas of cooperation in different sectors and the Iranian willingness to explore the possibility of futuristic investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Pervez Khattak said that his government had brought about a visible change in all public sectors institutions and made potential advantages of this province open for investment. “We have an investment-friendly environment because we have an autonomous company working for the industrialization and trade activities,” he told the Iranian diplomat. He added his government would welcome Iranian investment in the province.
The Iranian envoy and the chief minister expressed a commitment for strong and stable relationship, mutual trade and sharing of information relating to enhancing the level of trade and business.
