SWABI: Three bullet-riddled bodies were recovered from a deserted area in Gaju Khan on Tuesday, police officials said.
The bodies were recovered in the jurisdiction of Chota Lahor Police Station. When contacted, police officials said it seemed that three people were killed somewhere else and their bodies were thrown in the deserted area.
They said that the slain had been shot dead at point-blank range. The bodies were brought to the Rural Health Centre, Khunda, for post mortem.However, the identity of the victims and the reason behind the killing couldn’t be known.It may be recalled that two police officials were killed in separate incidents in Swabi district on Monday.

The sources said that the tribal lashkar demolished the houses of Muzaffar Khan, Nauman Khan, Jamal Khan and two other persons in Safi tehsil over their alleged role as facilitators of terrorists. The families were also asked to deposit a fine of Rs500,000 each.Two weeks back , a soldier was killed in a landmine blast in the Chamarkand area in Safi tehsil in which these five persons had allegedly facilitated the terrorists.
