Khattak claims KP govt’s performance has unnerved opposition
NOWSHERA: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Tuesday said the performance of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had unnerved the opposition parties and they had started a negative propaganda campaign against his government to survive in politics.
He was speaking at four public meetings in the ASC Colony in Badrashi, Azakhel Bala, Pir Piai and Pabbi in his hometown here. Activists of various political parties announced joining the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on the occasion.
District Nazim Liaqat Khattak, Member National Assembly Dr Imran Khattak, Member Provincial Assembly Mian Khaliqur Rehman and others were also present.Pervez Khattak said the people were joining the PTI in droves despite the negative propaganda by the opposition parties which, he said, was a show of confidence by the people in the performance of the provincial government and PTI chief Imran Khan.
He said the government was focusing its energies to improve the life standard of poor and restore public self-esteem in the government departments.Enumerating his government’s achievements, the chief minister said it was providing free healthcare facilities to poor patients, improved standard of education in state-run educational institutions, providing solar panels to tube-wells to enable farmers to irrigate their lands, free seeds to them, upheld the merit in recruitments in government departments, eliminate corruption, streamlined the decades old faulty system, improved governance, etc.He said the people were matured and can differentiate between honest and dishonest.The chief minister hoped the PTI would win the next general elections with a thumbing majority.
