‘All 60 missing children recovered in Jhang’

JHANG: DPO Humayun Masood has said that all 60 children were recovered which were reportedly missing in the district from 2014 to 2016.
He said this while addressing a press conference here on Monday. DSP City Tahir Khichi, SHOs of Kotwali, Sadar, City and Satellite Town police were also present. The DPO said that 34 cases were registered regarding the missing of these children, however, all 60 children were recovered and handover to their parents. Talking about the missing children in Punjab, the DPO said that police traced 119 missing children while 603 reached in their houses out of total 767 missing children across the Punjab. On the directions of the IGP, police of all districts were busy tracing the remaining 45 children, he added. The DPO said that the IGP had issued directions that the people who would take law in their hands and spreading fake information about kidnapping of children would be dealt with iron hands. He said that total 21 calls were received regarding missing of children and after verification all were proved fake and wrong during the current month.
