Solar system to be installed at Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum

A solar system will be installed at the premises of the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
This was stated at the meeting of the Sub-Committee of the Senate Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting and National Heritage held at the Mazar Management Board on Monday.
The meeting was also attended by senators Nihal Hashmi, Abdul Karim Khawaja and Ashok Kumar.
After the meeting, Senator Hashmi informed media that the solar system would be installed at the mausoleum.
He said a public meeting would be convened on September 7 to discuss various matters, including the beautification of the mausoleum’s premises.
He further pointed out that the federal government bears all the expenses. No fee would be charged from the public visiting the Mazar to pay homage to the Father of the Nation, he added.
The senator said that good care would be taken of the mausoleum and the graves of other leaders that were also located within its premises.
It was announced that latest facilities of international standard would be made available to the visitors.
The chief engineer of the Mazar Management Board, Muhammad Arif, gave a briefing to the members of the sub-committee.
He said steps were being taken for the beautification of the premises as well as for the provision of latest facilities.
Assistance from the Rangers and the police had been taken for strengthening security at the mausoleum’s premises.
