2018 general elections to be contested
on basis of performance: Sana

FAISALABAD: Punjab Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that the 2018 general elections will be contested on the basis of performance.
Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, he said that the people would vote for those political parties, which worked for the welfare and development of the country. He said that the people would reject the politics of vulgarity, intolerance, chaos and disorder in the 2018 general elections. To a question, the minister said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had given a clear statement on the Kashmir issue and the government would continue its moral and diplomatic support for the Kashmiri brethrens for resolving the issue according to the UN resolution.
Earlier, distributing fruits and biscuits among patients in the Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology and Allied Hospital in connection with the Independence Day celebrations, Punjab Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah Khan said that the government was endeavouring to materialise the dream of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for development and progress of Pakistan. In this regard, a number of mega projects were being completed for the welfare of the people, he added. He said that Pakistan came into existence after giving a lot of sacrifices under the flag of the Muslim League and now the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government was struggling to steer the country out of the crises. He said that issues of terrorism, loadshedding and unemployment were being overcome by following revolutionary policies of the government.
Later, Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan attended a briefing at the FIC and appreciated initiatives of FIC Executive Director Dr Anjum Jalal for extension and development of the institution to provide better medical facilities to the patients. He assured his all-out cooperation for further up-gradation of the FIC and lauded contribution of the local philanthropists for development of the FIC.
