Schools reopen after summer vacation in Punjab today
LAHORE
The education institutions across Punjab will reopen after annual summer vacation on Monday (today).
The annual summer break is usually observed in schools from June 1 to August 14 each year. However, this time because of harsh weather conditions the Punjab government had announced early summer vacation starting from May 24.
The private sector education institutions normally don’t follow the government’s schedule so some private schools will be reopening in the last week of August. This year rumours said because of the security situation the reopening of schools might be delayed. However, officials confirmed that there was no such plan and schools would be reopening as per schedule already announced.
Though the educational institutions reopening after the summer break on Monday (today) the weather conditions are not comfortable. Thin attendance is recorded on the very first day after reopening of schools.
