WAPDA to face PIA in hockey final

KARACHI: WAPDA reached the final of Pakistan Cup nine-a-side hockey tournament when they defeated NBP in the first semi-final by 2-1 at Abdul Sattar Edhi hockey stadium on Saturday.
Asad Bashir and Ijaz netted goals for WAPDA. Ateeq Arshad scored the only goal for NBP. In the other semi-final, PIA defeated SSGC by 3-0. PIA’s forward Irfan scored two goals and Zubair netted one. The final of the event will be played on Sunday (today).
