Demo against police for not registering case

From Our Correspondent

GUJRANWALA: People staged a demonstration against police for not registering a child kidnap attempt case at Khiali Bypass on Friday.

They also blocked a road and chanted slogans against police. The protesters said that two people kidnapped 10-year-old Usman from Iftikhar Colony and took him to a field where they were allegedly trying to cut his belly. Hearing noise, the people rushed to the spot while the accused managed to escape. The protesters alleged that Khiali police were not registering the case. Later, the police high-ups reached the spot and assured the protesters of looking into the matter.

REMANDED: Additional Sessions Judge Iram Ayaz on Friday granted six-day remand of an alleged member of the banned Daesh.
