QMC students demo against principal’s transfer

BAHAWALPUR: Dozens of Quaid-e-Azam Medical College (QMC) students on Friday staged a demonstration outside the Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH) Outdoor Ward against the transfer of QMC Principal Prof Dr Haroon Khursheed Pasha and making him an OSD.
The protesting students demanded immediate cancellation of the transfer orders and announced to continue the protest till the acceptance of the demand. They also announced staging a demonstration today.
It is mentionable here that the chief minister transferred the QMC principal and suspended BVH MS Dr Shahid Faraz during a video conference on Wednesday. The CM took action against both the officers for their alleged negligence in handling the Congo virus cases.
