Partly cloudy weather with raised humidity level was observed in the provincial capital on Thursday while MET Office forecast isolated rains for today. MET officials said seasonal low lay over north Balochistan. They said weak monsoon currents were penetrating upper parts of the country and likely to continue during the next 24 hours. They maintained that a shallow westerly wave was also affecting the upper parts. Met officials predicted mainly hot and humid weather in most parts of the country. They, however, said rain-thunderstorm was likely at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, DI Khan, Zhob, Sibbi divisions, Islamabad, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. On Thursday, rain-thunderstorm were witnessed at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Bahawalpur, Malakand, Hazara, Zhob divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Rain was recorded in various cities, including Bahawalnagar, 37mm, Kasur, 20mm, Sargodha, 18 mm, Gujranawala, 12mm, MB Din, 12mm, Noorpurthal, 07mm, Gujrat, 06 mm, Chakwala, 04mm.
