Remand of accused extended in Qandeel murder case

MULTAN: Civil Judge Abdul Mannan on Tuesday extended physical remand of an accused in the Qandeel Baloch murder case.
Investigation Officer Atiya Jafri produced accused Haq Nawaz, cousin of Qandeel Baloch, before the judge and requested to extend his physical remand for five days. The judge, however, extended his remand for two days.
The investigation officer told the court that the mobile phone and passport of Qandeel Baloch had been recovered from the accused.
The main accused, Muhammad Wasim, had been sent to the jail on completion of his 14-day physical remand. The accused - Muhammad Wasim and Haq Nawaz – had strangled Qandeel Baloch.
