Faisalabad RPO for foolproof security ahead of I-Day

FAISALABAD: RPO Muhammad Bilal Siddiq Kamyana has asked the DPOs of the Faisalabad Region to make foolproof security arrangements for the Independence Day.

Addressing a meeting here on Tuesday, the RPO said that security would be Red Alert after the Quetta blast in the Faisalabad Region on the Independence Day. He asked the DPOs of the Faisalabad Region to make strict security arrangements in their respective districts to avoid any untoward incident. He directed the DPOs to beef up security at important government buildings, airports and shopping centres. He also directed to set up police pickets on important roads and enhance police patrolling. He ordered starting combing operation in the Faisalabad Region especially in hotels and rented houses. The RPO directed the DPOs to initiate action against those government and private schools which were not taking proper security arrangements. He directed the DPOs to ensure police patrolling of the Elite Force and the Quick Response Force at all vital points and keep a constant liaison with the intelligence agencies to avoid any unwanted incident.

MAN SHOT DEAD: A man was murdered near Chak 107/JB on Tuesday.

Khalid Bajwa, a renowned personality of Chak Jhumra, was on his way home by a car when two motorcyclists shot at and injured him. He was rushed to the THQ Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.

21 BOOKED: On the complaint of FDA Deputy Director Iqbal Akram, Sadar police on Tuesday booked 21 people on the charge of allegedly torturing the FDA staffers at a colony on Samundri Road here.

The FDA staff visited an under-construction house when the accused including Ahtesham allegedly beat them with the help of clubs and made them hostage.
