Cop ends his own life in Swat

CHARSADDA: A woman was killed while a teenage girl committed suicide in the district on Saturday, official sources said.

Unidentified gunmen forced their entry into a house in Dhaki area in the limits of the Mandani Police Station and killed a widow identified as Farhada Bibi. The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained.

Meanwhile, 17-year old Kainat Bibi shot herself dead over unknown reasons in Khat Koroona in the limits of the Prang Police Station.

The police registered separate cases and started investigation.

Our correspondent in Mingora adds: A cop ended his life by consuming poisonous pills over domestic issue in Charbagh tehsil in Swat district on Saturday, official sources said.

They said the cop of special police force identified as Anwar Ali who was performing duty in Charbagh Police Station committed suicide by taking poisonous pills. The body after autopsy in the Saidu Sharif Hospital was handed over to the family members for burial.

Minor drowns in DI Khan: A minor boy drowned in a canal while a man died in a road accident here on Saturday, official sources said.

Three-year old Hayatullah Wazir was playing outside his house when he fell into the canal in Kotla Saidan area.
