Trader shot dead over enmity
LAHORE
A 40-year-old cloth merchant was shot dead in the Ghalib Market police limits in the wee hours of Friday.
Police said victim Safeer Khan was sitting at his shop in Orega Center when two motorcyclists came there at around 1am, shot at him and fled the scene. The victim received bullet injuries and was shifted to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
Police removed the body to morgue, collected forensic evidences from crime scene and registered the statements of the eye-witnesses. Family of the victim in his complaint to police told that the victim was murdered by Ali Khan over an old enmity.
Police have registered a case against the suspect and were conducting raids to arrest him.
FOUND DEAD: A 60-year-old unidentified woman was found dead in the Data Darbar police limits on Friday.A passerby informed police about the victim lying unconscious. Police reached the spot on information, shifted the victim to hospital where doctors pronounced her dead. Police told that the victim looked like a drug-addict and might have died due to excessive use of drugs.
Meanwhile, a 30-year-old unidentified man was found dead in the Qila Gujjar Singh police limits on Friday. A passerby informed police about a man lying unconscious. Police reached the incident place on information, shifted the victim to hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead.
Police told that the victim looked like a drug-addict and might have died due to excessive use of drugs. Police removed the bodies to morgue.
FOUND DEAD: A 40-year-old handicapped beggar was found dead under mysterious circumstances in his wheelchair in the Mughalpura police limits on Friday.
Police said the victim identified as Muhammad Tanveer was paralysed. He used to beg on his wheelchair in the locality.
On the day of the incident, he was found unconscious in his wheelchair and was shifted to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
Police removed the body to morgue.
HIT TO DEATH: A teenage boy was killed while his friend received injuries in a road accident in the Lower Mall police limits on Friday.
Police said victim Abdul Rehman, son of Mushtaq along with his friend Rehman, son of Tariq, both residents of Gulshan-e-Ravi, were riding a bike and going for some work. As they reached Lower Mall, a fast moving truck hit them.
They fell down and received injuries. They were shifted to hospital where doctors pronounced Abdul Rehman dead.
Police removed the body to morgue and registered the statements of the eyewitnesses. Police impounded the truck, arrested the truck driver and registered a case against him.
