PESHAWAR: The Capital City Police have arrested two terrorists involved in target killing of government officers, high profile individuals and recovered explosives from their custody.
According to an official of the Capital City Police, the cops had cordoned off the limits of the Faqirabad Police Station after reports that terrorists had entered the city to carry out attacks. The official added that when the cops signalled two persons on a motorbike near Qazi Killay, they opened fire on policemen that was returned.
During the exchange of fire, both the terrorists ran away. However, the police managed to arrest one of them who was later identified as Safirullah, a commander of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan.
Police recovered a 17-kilogram-heavy Improvised Explosive Device, four hand grenades, batteries and a pistol from the custody of the held terrorist.
