Refusal by owner to pay extortion
Many injured in attack on snooker club

MULTAN: A number of people were injured when a group of extortionists attacked a snooker club after its owner refused extortion at Gol Bagh, Gulgasht Colony, on Tuesday.
According to police, Kashi Khan, Muna Ali and others had allegedly demanded Rs 500,000 extortion from snooker club owner Tanveer Haider but he refused some days ago. Tanveer also reported the matter to Gulgasht police but it allegedly did not take any action.
On the day of the incident, Kashi, Muna and eight others allegedly attacked the club and opened indiscriminate firing. As a result, a number of people, including the club owner, were injured. The attackers also got the snooker club vacated at gunpoint and ransacked it. The injured people were shifted to a hospital. Gulgasht police have registered an attempt to murder case and started investigation.
