VIRGINIA: Vice Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Monday said that he has met with the US House of Representatives and higher officials in the State Department to overcome their reservations on Imran Khan.

Talking to party workers in Virginia, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that PTI is all set to give a tough time to the corrupt government of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) as PTI would not sit calm until the crooked system was demolished. He said the US leaders were told that the PTI only believes in democracy and Imran Khan is a man who supports the real democratic system. He said that the questions of the State Department officials about the agenda of PTI were also answered with logical approach.

The PTI leader also said that no step would be taken on strategic location of the region without the will of Pakistan. He said that Pakistan Army is ardently participating in eradication of terrorism and other criminal activities from the country.

Talking about the Panama Leaks issue, he said the government is not willing to form an empowered commission due to which the opposition parties have decided to prepare a draft having Terms of References that will be presented in Senate and National Assembly. In an interview with a private TV channel, Shah Mahmood said that he and
Chaudhry Sarwar are not separate from the PTI as he will look after the party matters after returning to Pakistan.

We don’t have any alliance with Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) but the leaders of both entities are meeting with each other to speed up the peace movement in the country, he added. He said that preparations are in final phase to launch another anti-government campaign from August 7.
