Saeed appointed women hockey team manager

LAHORE: Pakistan Hockey Federation has appointed Saeed Khan and Muhammad Usman as the manager and secretary, respectively, of the national women team.
Their first international assignment is the 4th Women’s Asian Hockey Federation Cup in Bangkok, to be held from October 1.
Saeed was a member of World Cup winning teams in 1978 and 1982. He was the coach of the Pakistan team when the national team last won the World Cup in 1994.
Usman was the member of the victorious side of the 1994 World Cup. He has been serving as the coach of the national women side since 2012.
They will observe the performance of the players during the 29th National Women’s Championship at Naseer Bunda Stadium, Islamabad, from August 5 to 12.
