Govt urged to play role for IHK freedom

OKARA: The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leaders Tuesday urged the government to play a positive role for the freedom of the Indian-held Kashmir (IHK).

Speakers addressing the Yakjehti-e-Kashmir All Parties Conference arranged by the JI (district Okara chapter), said India was mistreating innocent Kashmiris to weaken their love for freedom, Kashmiris would never compromise on their just struggle.

The conference was chaired by Okara JI Amir Dr Liaqat Ali Kausar. Qari Hafeezullah Baloch, former minister Rana Ikram Rabbani, Abu Ahsan, Muhammad Farooq, Chaudhry Muhammad Saleem Sadiq, president Markazi Anjumane Tajiran, general secretary Sheikh Riaz Anwar and others were also present. The speakers said the rulers should realize that Kashmir was the lifeline of Pakistan. They said after fair UN-sponsored plebiscite in the IHK, the Kashmiris would join their state with Pakistan. The speakers said one day Kashmiris would be liberated from the cruel clutches of Indian forces.
