SC suspends non-bailable warrants for Ayyan
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has suspended until September 21 non-bailable arrest warrants issued for model Ayyan Ali in Customs inspector murder case.
The court has also ordered Ayyan to take part in the investigation of the case.
A three-member bench Tuesday led by Justice Amir Hani Muslim took up for hearing plea filed by Ayyan against issuance of her non-bailable arrest warrants. Latif Khosa counsel for Ayyan took the plea that Ayyan was in jail when Customs inspector Ijaz Chaudhry was murdered.
The other accused of the murder case have not been arrested while warrants for Ayyan have been obtained. Ayyan is facing life threat. If Qandeel Baloch can be murdered then everything can happen.
Justice Tariq Pervez remarked the warrants will remain functional unless magistrate cancels them.
Justice Amir Hani Muslim remarked a murder case is registered against Ayyan Ali may it be true or false. We cannot interfere. Model can seek bail before arrest.
