‘Miscreant’ killed in Lakki encounter
LAKKI MARWAT: A miscreant was killed in encounter with police personnel of Counter Terrorism Department in Muslim Bagh area of Naurang town on Tuesday.
An official said that a CTD team confronted with miscreants wanted by law enforcement agencies in cases of target killing and terrorism. “The CTD had received credible information that miscreants had planned to target LEAs personnel in the town,” the official maintained, saying that a CTD team headed by Sub-Inspector Aslam Khan was tasked to foil the bid and ensure arrest of target killers.
He said a gun-battle took place between CTD personnel and miscreants when they came across near Muslim Bagh locality.
“During gunfight a miscreant identified as Shafiullah was killed while three CTD personnel including Sub-Inspector Aslam Khan, head constable Muhammad Sadiq and constable Waheedullah received bullet injuries,” he added.
