Child dies after falling from swing

BAHAWALPUR: A four-year-old girl was killed after falling from a swing at Gulistan Safari Park, Chishtian, on Sunday night.
Maan Akram of Burewala was enjoying a ride on swing when she fell from it and died on the spot. On information, Chishtian AC Arshad Sindhu and the DSP reached the park and bulldozed all swings and other recreational installations. Chishtian Sadr police have registered a case against park owner Muhammad Shoaib, park manager Zubair Ahmad, Muhammad Aslam, Muhammad Hayat and Sadiq. Meanwhile, police have arrested the park manager.
MAN KILLS WIFE: A 21-year-old girl was killed by her husband here on Monday.
Saeed Ahmad with his three accomplices allegedly slaughtered his wife Nasreen Bibi over a domestic dispute. Sadr police have registered a case and handed over the body of the girl to her father after an autopsy.
YOUTH ELECTROCUTED: An 18-year-old youth was electrocuted at Bahawalnagar. Muhammad Waqas was electrocuted when his hand touched a pedestal fan in his house.
ANTI-DENGUE WALK: The Parks and Horticulture Authority arranged an anti-dengue walk here on Monday.
The walk led by the PHA Administration director was taken out from the PHA office up to Habib Bank Chowk. The participants were carrying placards and banners.
Speaking on the occasion, the PHA Administration director ordered the staffers to take special care to remove unnecessary water from greenbelts, parks and nurseries of the PHA.
