DAGGAR: The dissident activists of the Awami National Party (ANP) joined Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) in Banda village in Buner district on Sunday.
The activists who announced joining ANP included Faidamand Khan alias Faidey Bacha, Sherdad Khan, Sahib Gul Bacha, Pir Khan, Sher Wali Khan and others along with their relatives and friends.
JUI-F leaders including Member Provincial Assembly Mufti Fazal Ghafoor, former minister Istiqbal Khan, Malik Aman Khan, Naushad Khan, Aziz Khan, Maulana Haleem Syed Bacha and others were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, MPA Mufti Fazal Ghafoor said that JUI-F had become a political force in the district as more people were joining the party. “JUI-F would sweep the upcoming general election,” he said.
He said that JUI-F was striving for enforcement of Shariah and stopping elements from spreading western culture in the country. The JUI-F is a stumbling block in the way of certain political opponents who are following western agenda, he maintained. Istiqbal Khan, Malik Aman Khan, Naushad Khan and Aziz Khan also spoke on the occasion.
