Work on CPEC road section begins in DI Khan
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The construction work on Kundal section of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was launched here on Sunday.
Major Abdul Nazeef, the project manager of National Logistic Cell (NLC), told media persons that 54 kilometers long road containing two inter-change at Abdulkhel and Yarak would be completed within the specified timeframe of 18 months. The NLC officials said that the ongoing work had been divided into three separate portions. Camps have already been established for the project at Katakhel and Yarak, he added.
The officials said that the project contained four overhead bridges apart from 7.3 meter green belts. The media was informed that Kundal was the zero-point of the project. The officials told the entire project would be supervised by a supervisory team comprising Brigadier Masood and Col Zaheer. The ceremony was also attended among others by senior officials.
