Couple shot dead by unidentified bikers

OKARA: A couple was shot dead by unidentified assailants near Okara-Faisalabad Road in Gogera police limits on Friday.
Syed Arab Ali of Chak 210/RB, Faisalabad, his wife Sadia Bibi and their driver came to Chak 33/GD to offer Fateha on the death of a family member of their friend Ahmad. When they were returning to their village after condolence, two unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on their car. As a result, Arab Ali and his wife were killed on the spot while their driver remained unhurt. Police have impounded the car and started investigation.
MWM DEMO: The Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) activists staged a demonstration against target killing of their colleagues in Karachi.
The protesters led by Anwar Zaidi, Iqbal Shah and Sajjad Zaidi also blocked GT Road at Pul Jurrian to register their protest. They were chanting slogans against the poor law and order situation in the Karachi. In the meantime, Assistant Commissioner Tahir Amin and DSP Renala Khurd Inamul Haq with police force rushed to the spot and started negotiation with the protesters. Traffic was blocked till the filing of the report.
