Widow killed for refusing daughter’s proposal

OKARA: A widow was shot dead for refusing proposal for her daughter at Shahbaz Park on Thursday.
Rukhsana Bibi, a widow, had refused the proposal of Boota for her daughter. On the day of the incident, Boota allegedly shot Rukhsana dead. Sadr police have started investigation.
Call to restore gas supply to industry

OKARA: The Okara Chamber of Commerce and Industry have demanded immediate restoration of gas supply to industrial units in the district.
This demand was made in a meeting of the Okara Chamber of Commerce and Industry chaired by president Iqbal Shahid on Thursday. The participants expressed extreme concern over stoppage of gas supply to industrial units for the last four years. They said gas suspension had increased unemployment in the area. They appealed to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Federal Minister for Petroleum and Gas Shahid Khakan Abbasi and the SNGPL managing director to restore gas supply to industrial units at the earliest.
