920 get Khidmat cards

CHAKWAL: As many as 920 disabled persons have been issued Khidmat cards in the district.
This was stated by EDO Community Development Sabir Bhatti in a meeting chaired by DCO Mehmood Javed Bhatti on Thursday. He said 2,200 disabled persons were registered for the purpose in the district. Addressing the meeting, MNA Maj (retd) Tahir Iqbal and MPA Sardar Zulfiqar Dullah said the Punjab government had allocated over Rs 2 billion for financial assistance of the disabled persons. They said the Khidmat cards must be issued to the deserving people. Speaking on the occasion, the DCO said the job quota for disabled persons had been enhanced from 2 per cent to 3 per cent by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
