‘Complete Safari Park work’

LAHORE

The Steering Committee on Wildlife has directed the department to complete development work of play land and food court in Lahore’s Safari Zoo Park by September 1, 2016.

The chairman of the committee, MNA Afzal Khokhar, has warned that delay in development work would not be tolerated in any case and strict action would be taken against those not abiding by the directives.

He issued these directives while reviewing the development work in Safar Zoo Park on Thursday. The officers of the department were also present.

He directed the provincial buildings XEN and contractors for completing the buildings at Safari Zoo Park by September 01, 2016. MNA Afzal Khokhar stressed the need for increasing the number of animals in the park.vHe asked the officers to visit zoological gardens of other provinces and cities for mutual exchange of animals.

He urged the price of the animals should be kept in mind while exchanging animals, and couples should be imported from other zoo parks instead of taking only male or female animals. He also called for developing state-of-the-art recreational facilities for children in these parks.
