No philosophy acceptable at gunpoint: Sanaullah Zehri
QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has said that 95 percent of terrorism had been rooted out in Balochistan and added that any philosophy on gunpoint would not be accepted.
He was speaking to students of Punjab’s educational institutions here who were visiting Quetta on the invitation of the Balochistan government.
The chief minister said civil and military leadership of Balochistan have the same dream of an educated and peaceful Balochistan adding that under a pre-planned conspiracy, enemies of the country damaged peace in the province.
The targeted killing of academicians, doctors, Pashtun, Baloch, Punjabi and Hazara people was made during the last few years, he said adding that because of the efforts jointly made by the civil and military leadership, terrorism had been rooted out in Balochistan by 95 percent. Remaining five percent terrorism will also be eliminated soon, he said.
He said that armed men who had gone to the mountains would have to join the mainstream and warned that otherwise they would have to face stern action. Terrorists should listen to me that no philosophy is accepted on gunpoint, he said.
He said that his government allocated Rs500 million for the Balochistan annual budget for provision of laptop to students. Later, laptops were also distributed among the guest students. Commander Southern Command Lt Gen Aamir Riaz, IG Frontier Corps Maj Gen Sher Afgan, provincial ministers and senior officials were present.
