This is an appeal from an overseas Pakistani from Adelaide, Australia to start an online passport renewal facility (joint effort of passport office and Nadra) as soon as possible because it is already over the given time-deadline of March, 2016. I would like to draw the attention of the interior minister that due to the facility of Online Passport Renewal, a large amount of money can be saved for overseas Pakistanis.
To give a rough idea: for one passport if I have to travel with my child who is seven years old now, it would cost me around $1200 other than passport fee (air tickets to Canberra for two persons (return) =$800, stay in hotel for two days while renewal of family passports). Other costs like meals, taxi fare are in addition to the above mentioned costs. So one can imagine how this new facility could save a huge extra burden of money. Sucha step would help millions of Overseas Pakistanis across the world especially for Pakistanis who are living in far flung areas in various countries.
