PESHAWAR: Activists of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and People’s Students Federation (PSF) staged separate protests here on Friday to condemn the Indian forces’ brutalities in Kashmir.
The protest rallies were arranged across the province on the call of Chairman of the party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The PPP demonstration in the provincial metropolis was led by former provincial president Rahimdad Khan, former district nazim Azam Afridi, ShaziaTehmas, TahirDaudzai and others. The protesters, holding banners and placards,chanted slogans against India and in favour of Kashmiris.
The speakers blasted India for recent oppression by the Indian forces on innocent Kashmiris in the occupied Kashmir. They also flayed the federal government for showing negligence over the issue.
They said that the Indian atrocities on the people of Kashmir were intolerable. They urged the international community and the Government of Pakistan to take notice of the mass killing of Kashmiris and human rights violation in the valley. Later, the demonstrators criticised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for keeping quiet over the killing spree in Kashmir due to his good relations with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.
