KPEZDMC to help set up new industrial units in DI Khan
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Alman Seyyam Sugar Mills Private Limited to provide them facilitation, and consultancy services through one window operation for establishment of new industrial units in Dera Ismail Khan.
“This is indeed another milestone achieved by KPEZDMC to promote industrialisation and sustainable economic development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” said a communiqué.Alman Seyyam Sugar Mills Private limited, it added, is to set up the mills on an area of 100 acres with a daily production capacity of 8000 metric tonnes, and will provide employment opportunities to over 700 skilled and unskilled labourers.
The MoU was signed considering the agreement that KPEZDMC would provide Alman Seyyam Sugar Mills Private Limited consultancy services from inception till the project completion, including arrangement of regulatory approvals from relevant authorities.
Speaking on the occasion, Said Mahmood, representing the investors, appreciated KPEZDMC and Department of Industries, and Commerce for their work, and welcomed the initiative of the provincial government to provide investor friendly one window operation to the industrialists and investors in the province. Said Mahmood, who is Honorary Counsel General of the Republic of Tajikistan, expressed the resolve to bring investors from Central Asian States.
