Woman dies after hearing news of
injuring of husband in accident

OKARA: A woman died after she was informed that her husband was injured in an accident here.
Mubarik alias Makha of Siddiqnagar came to Okara for shopping where he was hit by a car. As a result, he received serious head injuries. He was admitted to a hospital. When his wife Hanifan Bibi was informed about the incident in her house she suffered a heart attack and died instantly.
DEMO AGAINST TMA: People have staged a demonstration against the Depalpur TMA for its alleged failure to clear choked gutters.
They blocked Kasur-Depalpur Road for sometime to register their protest against the TMA officials. They also chanted slogans against the TMA. The protesters said that they had been facing a number of problems due to choked gutters. They said that sewage had inundated a number of streets and roads, creating problems for the pedestrians. The people said that they had stopping visiting the bazaars and markets due to choked gutters.
Meanwhile, Sajjada Nasheen Astana-e-Razzaqia Kanwar Faqeer Ahmad Razzaqi has demanded the chief minister order the officers concerned to solve the issue. On the other hand, the Depalpur assistant commissioner has taken notice of the situation.
CHICKEN SELLER BOOKED: Renala Khurd City police have booked a chicken seller on the charge of selling meat of dead chickens.
On a tip-off, veterinary Dr Muhammad Amir raided a shop on Shergarh Road and recovered 300kg meat of dead chickens. However, the accused shopkeeper managed to escape.
