JHANG: A two-day training workshop on physical security for journalists began under the aegis of an NGO at a local hotel on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, trainer Sadia Mumtaz said that there was no law to protect the journalists, so, they must ensure their security on their own. The trainer advised the journalists to remain impartial and avoid litigations with any party during covering events and crime stories.
The participants shared difficulties, problems and life threats faced by them during performing duties in flooded areas and covering crime stories against drug peddlers and other criminals.
