DASKA: Two sisters drowned in BRB Canal here on Sunday.
Naveed, his wife Shazia and sisters-in-law Sonia and Mafi were taking bath in the canal when they went into deep water. As a result, Sonia and Mafi drowned while Naveed and his wife were rescued by the people.
Woman kills son, injures husband

DASKA: A woman killed her son and injured her husband in Motra police limits.
Shabbir’s wife Kaneez Bibi with her daughter was shifted to the house of her another daughter, who was married, sometime ago. On Sunday, she called her husband Shabbir and son Faisal to discuss a proposal for her daughter. When they came there, a quarrel arose between the couple. Later, Kaneez Bibi with the help of her brothers, sister and son-in-law allegedly injured her husband Shabbir and son Faisal with the blows of a sharp-edged weapon. They were shifted to the Civil Hospital where Faisal died.
COUPLE ROBBED: Two dacoits looted cash, gold ornaments and a mobile phone in Bombanwala police limits.
Mirza Iqbal and his wife were on way home when the dacoits intercepted and snatched Rs 3,000, gold ornaments and a mobile phone from them. Police are investigating.
WOMAN INJURED: Four people injured a woman over a minor issue in Sadr police limits.
The wife of Zaigham Abbas was on way home when Abbas, Rizwan and two others allegedly opened fire on her. As a result, she was injured. She was shifted to the Civil Hospital. Police have registered a case.
GIRL ATTEMPTS SUICIDE: A girl attempted suicide here.
The girl tried to end her life by swallowing poisonous pills. The motive behind the incident is said to be a domestic dispute.
