Boy electrocuted in Kahna
LAHORE
A nine-year-old boy was electrocuted in Kahna on Sunday.
The victim was identified as Ahsan of Wara Stop. It was reported that the boy accidentally touched an electric water pump, as a result he received serious shocks. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police handed over the body to the family after completing legal formalities.
Two found dead: Two persons were found dead in different parts of the city here on Sunday.
A 50-year-old man was found dead in the limits of Sabzazar police station and a 70-year-old man recovered dead from the area of Shahdara police station. Police shifted the bodies to morgue.
Man found dead: A 25-year-old man was found dead at the doorsteps of his house in the North Cantonment area on Sunday. The victim was identified as Assad of Nishat Colony. Some locals spotted Assad lying dead at the doorsteps of his house and informed the police. Body was shifted to morgue.
Man found dead: A 50-year-old man was found dead in under-construction shop in the Green Town area on Sunday. Police claimed that the man, yet to be identified, was an addict who might have died of excessive use of drugs. Police shifted the body to morgue.
Two hit to death: Two persons were killed by speeding cars in two different parts of the city on Sunday. A 60-year-old woman was killed by a rashly-driven car in the Kot Lakhpat area. The victim, yet to be identified, was crossing Ferozepur Road when a speeding car ran over her, resulting into her instant death. In another incident, a bike-rider was killed by a rashly-driven car in the limits of Civil Lines police station. Two persons also sustained injuries in the same incident.
Protest against illegal possession: Dozens of people, including women residents of Mustafa Town, Gosha-e-Ahbab, staged a protest against the illegal possession of house owned by Umar Din.
Umar Din, along with number of local residents, staged protest outside the Lahore Press Club against his relatives, including Faisal Shahid and Ghazanfar for occupying his house in Mustafa Town.
The protesters demanded Inspector General Punjab (IGP) Police to take notice of the incident in which Faisal Shahid, Ghazanfar not only occupied the house of Umar Din but also misbehaved with women of his family who were thrashed and harassed.
An FIR of the incident was also lodged but protesters demanded vacation of the house from land grabbers.
