BANNU: An official of the Health Department on Saturday sealed four medical stores in Bannu bazaar for selling spurious medicines.
Drug Inspector Aurangzeb Khan visited the Bannu bazaar and sealed four medical stores for selling spurious medicines.
Cases were registered against 19 owners of other stores as well.
Strategy evolved to prevent festive firing: The police on Saturday evolved a strategy to prevent festive firing on Chand Raat in the district, an official said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) headquarters Syed Inayat Ali Shah told reporters that leave of police had been cancelled.
The official said the police had divided the district into various zones. The station house offices have been directed to monitor the situation in their respective zones and take prompt action against the violators, he added. Apart from this, he said, the police had engaged volunteers in every village, street and the city to inform the police about festive firing on Chand Raat or the night before Eidul Fitr so that that the violators could be arrested.
