Week of cleanliness till 7th

BAHAWALPUR: The health department is scheduled to observe a week of cleanliness at all health facilities till July 7th.
According to the EDO (health), the week is being observed flowing directions of DCO Bahawalpur Dr Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar.The week will be observed at heath facilities of Bahawalpur district, including DHQ, all THQs, health centres, Rural Health Centres and BHUs.
WASTE MANAGEMENT DURING EID: Some 850 Bahawalpur waste management company workers and 50 waste collecting vehicles are assigned the task of ensuring removal of waste during the Eid holidays.
Presiding over a high-level meeting to finalise waste management plan, Bahawalpur Waste Management Company MD Naeem Akhter said leaves of sanitary officers and inspectors have been cancelled during Eid days.
He said special emergency response teams were constituted which would be supervised by the officials of operational department to keep all religious places, official, public and private buildings, parks, recreational spots and major roads of the Bahawalpur city clean.

BAHAWALPUR: Jumatul Wida was observed with religious fervour throughout the division. Special prayers were offered for the solidarity and integrity of the country. Police had taken strict security measures to avoid any untoward incident in Bahawalpur, Rahimyar Khan and Bahawalnagar districts.
10-hour continuous loadshedding in Bahawalpur villages

BAHAWALPUR: Residents of hundreds of villages of Tranda M Pannah, Uch Sharif, Bhala Jhulan, Bakhtiyari and Kachi Shikrani have been facing 8 to 10-hour continuous power loadshedding. It is learnt that Kot Khalifa and Alipur feeders are being deliberately shut to cover the line losses of Mepco Uch Sharif subdivision.
