Pakistan Embassy in Bahrain opens doors to community

BAHRAIN: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Javed Malik has said that Pakistan Embassy in Bahrain has adopted a policy of being “accessible” and “approachable” to the community and every effort is being made to reach out to the community and remain fully engaged with them at every level.

He said he has directed all officers and staff of the embassy to committed to offering maximum facilitation to Pakistani expatriates and remain focused on solving their problems expeditiously. 

As part of  his policy “open doors to the community”, Ambassador Javed Malik hosted a special Iftar dinner at the embassy premises in honour of the Pakistani community and welcomed Pakistani expatriates from different walks of life resident in the Kingdom of Bahrain, says press release on Thursday.

While speaking, the ambassador said, “We warmly welcome our citizens to the Pakistan Embassy and let me appreciate your valuable contributions towards the country’s economy through your foreign exchange remittances. I assure you that your embassy will always be there to assist and facilitate you where possible and we have extended our opening hours, as well as providing online services to offer maximum facilitation to our people”.

Speaking about the growing ties between Pakistan and Bahrain, the ambassador said, “Pakistan’s relations with Bahrain are on the upswing and we are working hard to expand the business, trade and economic ties between both countries. An official delegation from Bahrain will be visiting Pakistan in the coming days to have bilateral consultations with a view to expanding Pakistan-Bahrain relations in all areas”.

The Impressive Iftar dinner was attended by presidents of Pakistani organisations, community notables, businessmen, bankers and senior professionals based in Bahrain. The guests appreciated the steps being taken by Ambassadors Javed Malik to reach out to the community and assured him of their full support.
