Fesco SDO, LS suspended for negligence

FAISALABAD: Fesco Chief Engineer (Operations) Sheikh Amil Siddique Wednesday suspended Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) and Line Superintendent (LS) of Garden Colony Sub-Division on committing negligence.
The action has been taken on the directives of Fesco Chief Executive Officer Rashid Ahmed Aslam. The other day Lineman Muhammad Ashraf of Garden Colony Sub Division electrocuted during duty and according to initial investigation, the incident occurred due to lack of safety arrangements. The CEO took notice of his death and directed CE Operations Amil Siddiqui to suspend the SDO Garden Colony Mudasar Habib and LS Muhammad Afzal immediately.
GAS PILFERAGE DETECTED: A SNGPL team headed by Umar Yasir raided a factory near village of Painsra on Faisalabad-Jhang Road and detected gas pilferage there. Factory owner Muhammad Tayyab has installed a fake gas meter.Thikri Wala police registered case.
FAKE FERTILIZER: DDO Mehfooz Ahmad along with police raided a marble factory where fake fertilizer was being produced. The police arrested the factory manager Munir Ahmad and recovered 3,000 fake fertilizer bags.
BODY RETRIEVED: The rescue team Wednesday recovered dead body of a 9th grade student from a canal after hectic efforts of two days.
The body, of Miqat Sikandar who drowned two days ago while swimming with his classmates, was retrieved from Gogera Branch Canal near Buchiana headworks.
BOY DIES IN ACCIDENT: A boy was killed in a road accident on Wednesday. Shahid Ali of Jhanda Singh Wala was crossing a road in Samanabad when he speeding car hit him, leaving him dead on the spot.
