Around the world people have stopped using Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE), because it is slow and virus-prone. People prefer to use Firefox, Chrome and other similar internet surfing software for their daily work. But in Pakistan our outdated FBR and Customs have established online programs that only work with Internet Explorer and do not operate on any other software. Due to the problems faced by Microsoft IE, taxpayers and customs clearing agents have a very tough time navigating and filling out online forms for FBR and Customs.
Since Pakistani software developers have been highlighted in the news for developing the world’s fastest internet surfing software, I would like to request the FBR/Customs and other government organisations to always create online forms and programs that are compatible with all internet surfing software. And since the whole point of starting online forms is to make it easier for taxpayers and customs clearing agents to pay government taxes, only allowing one software to operate such online forms removes all benefits for the users.
