Arrest orders of former MPA, his wife issued for fraud

GUJRANWALA: In the light of an inquiry report, ACE Director Rana Abdul Shakoor issued arrest orders for former MPA Akhlaq Ahmad and his wife in a fraud case here on Tuesday.
In an application to the ACE, Tariq Mehmood said that he bought a piece of land for Rs 215,000 from former MPA Akhlaq Ahmad of Narowal and his wife Farzana Khanum and constructed a building on it. Later, Akhlaq Ahmad and his wife Farzana in collaboration with Patwari Jamil allegedly transferred the land to their names. To it, the ACE ordered an inquiry in which the allegation proved.
LABOURER ELECTROCUTED: A labourer was electrocuted in a factory at Dhulley on Tuesday. Ghaffar was working in the factory when he suddenly touched a faulty wire. As a result, he received an electric shock and fell unconscious. He was shifted to the DHQ Hospital where he died.
In another incident, Allah Rakha, 22, of Ali Park received electric shock while working in his house. As a result, he fell unconscious. He was shifted to the DHQ Hospital from where the doctors referred him to a Lahore hospital due to his critical condition.
