Medical report confirms gang rape of female student
NOWSHERA: More facts emerged as the medical report confirmed the rape of a 19-year-old female seminary student in the Amangarh area of Nowshera district.
District Police Officer (DPO) Abdur Rashid Khan and Station House Officer Azakhel Adil Syed said that medical report of the District Headquarters Hospital had confirmed the gang rape of the victim.
They said that the police had produced all five accused identified as Anwar, Gohar, Dayan Shah, Wahab Shah and Hasan Shah before Senior Civil Judge Judicial Magistrate Tanveer Usman’s court, where the judge handed them over to the police for a two-day physical remand.
According to police, the first information report was registered under Section 375-A based on the victim’s complaint and the ongoing investigations. The incident reportedly occurred on April 24 in the Amangarh area. The 19-year-old victim M, a resident of Amangarh, was returning home from her seminary when the accused, Anwar forcibly took her to a house owned by Gohar. The accused along with Dayan Shah, Wahab Shah, Hasan Shah and Gohar allegedly raped her.
Soon after lodging a complaint by the victim, the police immediately referred her to the DHQ Hospital for medical examination and following confirmation in the report, the case was registered and all the accused were arrested.
