GUJRANWALA: Rumours regarding Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s visit to Gujranwala alerted the district administration on Sunday.
The entire government machinery remained busy in their offices to update the arrangements to avoid any action from the chief minister. The district administration ensured provision of quality daily-use items in the Ramazan bazaars after rumours that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif would visit the bazaars. Traffic movement around the Ramazan bazaars was also improved as all wardens remained on duty and managed the vehicular movement on all link roads in an organised manner. Many roads and streets, especially around the Ramazan bazaars, were also cleaned. On the other hand, the health EDO directed the DHQ Hospital MS, doctors and paramedics to ensure their presence in the hospital. The hospital staff also changed dirty bed sheets and improved cleanliness. Apart from it, the hospital medical store was flooded with all necessary medicines. The district administration took a sigh of relief when rumours proved fake as the CM did not visit Gujranwala.
