Irrigation secretary visits Trimmu headworks

JHANG: Irrigation Secretary Saifullah Anjum and Faisalabad Commissioner Momin Ali Agha Saturday visited Trimmu headworks and inspected flood safety walls and water discharge level.
Acting DCO Shoukat Ali Khichi and other officers were also present.
The XEN Irrigation and the AC were directed to remove encroachments along the river safety walls and around bridge area immediately.
The secretary and the commissioner stressed the need of liaison with other department if flood situation develops.
PROTEST AGAINST CHOKED SEWER LINES: Residents of Basti Attawali Saturday protested urging the relevant authorities to address the trouble of choked sewer lines of their area.
The protesters said sewer lines of new Eid Gah Road and accumulated water in the street of mosque of Basti Attawali are their issues which were being ignored by the relevant authorities since long. The urged the ADC to take action against the negligent officers of TMA.
Taking notice of the sewer lines and a mosque way blockage, the Thesil Municipal Administration/ADC directed TO (I&S) Muhammad Aslam and Chief Officer Mukhtar Shah to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
