Man gunned down in Korangi

A thirty-year-old man, belonging to the Shia community, was gunned down near Singer Chowrangi, in Korangi on Friday.

Qaiser Abbas was shot at by two men after they barged into his house; they managed to flee from the scene.

He was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) in an injured condition but died during treatment.

According to SHO Awami Colony police station, Khalid Abbasi, the deceased was apparently killed over a personal enmity. Police would also investigate whether the murder had a sectarian motive, he added.
