LAHORE
Met Office predicted that monsoon is very likely in Pakistan during the coming week, most probably on Monday/Tuesday over upper parts of the country.
Monsoon rains are likely to start from upper parts of the country that will spread towards central and southern parts of the country during the week.
During first spell of monsoon, widespread rains with isolated heavy thundershowers accompanied by strong gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA and Kashmir. While scattered rains/dust-thundershowers are also expected in Sindh and Balochistan during the coming week.
Low pressure lies over north Balochistan and its adjoining areas. Weak moist currents from Arabian sea are penetrating northeastern parts of Balochistan and its adjoining areas. Weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country. In the next 24hours, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, Rain/ Dust-thundershowers may occur at few places in Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, D.G Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur divisions.
