ATC issues arrest warrants for MPA, others
PESHAWAR: Judge Wali Muhammad of the Special Anti-Terrorism Court on Friday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Arbab Waseem and four other accused in the May 9, 2023, Radio Pakistan attack case.
The court ordered that the accused be produced before the court at the next hearing.
According to the prosecution, MPA Arbab Waseem and four others are accused of setting fire to the Radio Pakistan building during a protest on May 9, 2023.
A case was registered against them at the East Police Station, after which the investigation was completed and the trial began.
During the latest hearing, Arbab Waseem and five other accused failed to appear in court. Following their absence, the court issued arrest warrants for Arbab Waseem and four of the absentees, ordering their production in court by May 5.
